  • Travelling by Car


There are five major national motorway links which service this region, including the M6, M42, M40, M69 and the M1. As well as these there are also several popular A roads such as the A45, A46 and A5 serving as main arterial routes around north Warwickshire, Coventry and South Warwickshire.

  • 'All aboard!' Travelling by Rail


Coventry is on the Main West Coast Line, being serviced by regular train services seven days a week; networking it with other major towns and cities. Regular and frequent trains run to and from London and there is also an extensive timetable of local trains linking to other regional towns.

Chiltern Railways

 

Run trains from London Marylebone to Leamington via Warwick, Warwick Parkway and Stratford. The stations in Leamington Spa, Warwick and Stratford are approximately ten minutes walk from the town centres.

Park and Ride

 

For first time visitors to Coventry we recommend using the city's hop on, hop off Park & Ride services. The South service is sited at the War Memorial Park off the Kenilworth Road, while the North service is sited in Austin Drive, Courthouse Green. Both sites have free parking.

Coventry Airport is approximately 5 miles from central Coventry, 26 miles from Birmingham City Centre and 27 miles from Leicester and offers easy access to some of the Midland's most famous attractions.

Birmingham International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away from central Coventry, and is the ideal gateway for overseas visitors. With its own Air-Rail link and train station, public parking, vehicle hire facilites and onsite hotels, it's easily accessible and can accomodate for all situations.

Taxis

 


Black 'London-style' cabs operate in Coventry city centre and display a yellow license plate issued by Coventry City Council on the rear of the vehicle. Official taxi ranks are located in the Burges, Pepper Lane & Broadgate. There is also a taxi rank available at Coventry train station and taxis are available at Coventry Airport.
